Ali Gharib is The Intercept’s Senior News Editor. He was previously the chief politics editor at Mic, a contributor to The Nation, and a reporting fellow with the Investigative Fund at the Nation Institute, now Type Media Center. His work has appeared in The Guardian, Brooklyn Magazine, the New Republic, Foreign Policy, Haaretz, and the Daily Beast, among other outlets. He lives in Brooklyn.
